I have a granddaughter who was a heroin abuser, she is now on the methadone program but is heavly using angel dust, she is pregnant by a young man who is using dust, her speech changes so much that you cannot understand her, what can I do to help her, she lies continuesly, denies the abuse, she thinks no one loves her, she cannot hold down a job, takes family memebers cars without permission, she is a danger to her self and her baby

I often hear from patients that they cannot stop using street drugs and or smoking cigarettes at the same time. When a physician or any one agrees to this statement of the patients, they are all working with their own lower centers of their own addictive and masochistic minds called the lower centers of the human mind.
When patients are given an absolute rules for no smoking in the detox units for their admissions, they have complied to this rule and have agreed to use an alternate method of stopping cigarette smoking just as they agree to the use of Suboxone as an alternate way of narcotic addiction. This does not work easily when the members of the staff take break to smoke cigarettes themselves.
Therefore, a treating physician or a counselor has himself or herself to be free from addictions before they can find ways to treat patients for life threatening addictions such as smoking cigarettes.
An addicted human mind needs motivation from another Strong human mind before any results can be expected in a society.
